📜 About WesdaSwiss
WesdaSwiss was established with a vision to support communities through humanitarian assistance, education support, clean drinking water access, and sustainable development projects.
Following the end of the civil war in Sri Lanka in 2009, many communities, especially in the Northern and Eastern provinces, continued to experience challenges related to poverty, education opportunities, safe drinking water, and sustainable livelihoods.
Committed individuals from Switzerland and the Sri Lankan diaspora created Direct Help Water (Thannir), a community-focused initiative providing practical assistance directly to families and villages.
This initiative evolved into WesdaSwiss — Water, Education, Sustainable Development Alliance, expanding its mission from direct water assistance into a broader humanitarian and sustainable development organization.
