n 2022, Catholic Bishop Noel Emmanuel approached us with a request to finance water connections for 40 families in a Hindu village. Adjacent to the village is a large garbage dump, which elephants sift through in search of food. Birds frolic in the waste, pecking at edible items and debris, which they then drop as they fly over the village. The wells therefore need to be covered.
In 2024, we transferred 3000 Swiss francs to the bishop, who is currently recovering from heart surgery, for further water projects. He carries them out and prepares the accounts, which greatly simplifies our support.
